Come and join us listening to classical and modern sounds that local pianists elicit from our baby grand piano to celebrate the end of the week. Stay for the hour or just 15 minutes. Every last Friday every month from July onwards, 5-6pm at the Goethe-Institut in Wellington. We look forward to seeing you.

Pianist: John Jamieson

Josephine Baker used to sing J’ai deux amours, mon pays et Paris – John Jamieson’s two loves are languages and music, languages since taking up French and Latin at school, and music since the arrival of 10 o’clock closing in New Zealand pubs created a demand for musicians. John translates for Goethe-Institut on occasion, and now gets to play the piano for them as well, which he says is a privilege and a pleasure respectively.
