Come and join us listening to classical and modern sounds that local pianists elicit from our baby grand piano to celebrate the end of the week. Stay for the hour or just 15 minutes. Pianist: Jess Macauley
Jess Macauley studied Performance Piano at Victoria and Canterbury universities. After an injury to her wrist in her Honours year, she gave up piano and began to study German, finishing with a PhD in German literature and philosophy in 2015 and a teaching diploma in 2016. In lockdown last year she began to play the piano again – for short periods of time due to her wrist issues – and is delighted to have music back in her life. Jess teaches German at the Goethe-Institut, works as a freelance translator and editor, and teaches piano privately.
