Temporary Closure

The Goethe-Institut Manila will be temporarily closed to the public as we are taking the necessary precautions to protect our clients and staff.

This is in reponse to the decision of the Government and may be adjusted depending on how the situation develops in the coming weeks. 

We are then informing everyone that all physical language courses and examinations, as well as the library will continue to be suspended until further noticeIn addition, we are now offering Online Language Courses for levels A1, A2, B1, and B2. As soon as the situation changes, we will inform you via our digital channels.

Language Course Office

Please be informed that the language course office can only accept inquiries online via mail and will not be able to answer phone calls until further notice. 

We are also temporarily closing off course enrollment. At this time, we do not have any online courses available for registration. If you are interested in enrolling for a course with us or would be interested in an online course, you may be included in our wait list. Kindly send us your full name, phone number and e-mail address to sprache-manila@goethe.de. Once a course opens up again, we will inform you accordingly.

Language Courses

All physical language courses will continue to be suspended until further notice.  Thus, classes are now shifted online. To check the schedule of our online courses, click here.

Examinations

Due to the current situation, we will have to postpone the April Examinations scheduled on April 20-26, 2021. Examiness will be notified individually regarding this matter.

We will update you again once the examinations are rescheduled.

Asie from that, claiming of certificates at the Institute is not allowed until further notice. We will be sending all certificates via LBC courier free of charge. If you have concerns regarding printed certificates, please send an email to sprache-manila@goethe.de

LIBRARY SERVICES

The Goethe-Institut library services is temporarily suspended until further notice. All borrowed materials will be extended without fine.

CULTURAL EVENTS

All cultural events by the Goethe-Institut Manila are cancelled until further notice. For further inquiries, please send an email to  program-manila@goethe.de.

Q: I would like to claim my exam results. How/When can I claim my certificate?
A: Due to the current situation, please be advised that we will not allow any certificates to be picked-up at the Institute. We will be sending all certificates via LBC courier free of charge. Details regarding this have been sent to exam participants via email. If you did not receive an email or have other concerns, please send an email to sprache-manila@goethe.de


Q: I have registered for the exams this April. Will it push through?
A. No. Due to the current situation, we will have to postpone the April Examinations scheduled on April 20-26, 2021. Examiness will be notified individually regarding this matter. We will update you again once the examinations are rescheduled.


Q: I would like to register for a language course. How can I register?
A: All registrations for our Language Courses will be done online. We do not accept enrollees at our office as of the moment. To register and check the schedule, click here.

Q: Until when will the library be closed?
A: The Goethe-Institut Manila Library will be closed until further notice.


Q: What if I want to extend and return media?
A: The Goethe-Institut Manila library will be closed until further notice. All media due dates have been extended automatically. No fines shall be incurred during this period.


Q: I still want to read German books. Is there any way I can do it online?
A: The Goethe-Institut has a digital library called the Onleihe that's free of charge. More than 35,000 German language eBooks, audio books, movies, materials for German language learners, magazines and newspapers are available for downloading from the Onleihe.

Q: How about the events planned during those dates? Will they be cancelled?
A: All the ongoing and/or upcoming events are being postponed until further notice.
