Open Call for a Three-Month-Residency in Leipzig

OPEN CALL for artists living in the Philippines and Malaysia

In collaboration with LIA Leipzig International Art Programme the Goethe-Institute offers artists from Southeast Asia a three-month residency at the Art and Culture Centre Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei.

Residency Period will be from November 01, 2022 - January 31, 2023. The application deadline will be on April 30, 2022.

All of the 12 German films featured at this year's Kinofest can now be streamed until March 31, 2022! The films can be streamed with English, Burmese, Thai, Indonesian & Vietnamese subtitles. Tickets are free, but limited. Stream now!

Happy Birthday 2022

Goethe on Demand

Once a month, our new birthday calendar will honour a selected birthday child (filmmakers, screenwriters, actors, camera operators, editors) with an appropriate film recommendation. For one month, one of their films will be available via Goethe-on-Demand.

For March, we'd like to celebrate filmmakers Christoph and Wolfgang Lauenstein birthday with the film "Waiting for Harold"!  Stream "Waiting for Harold" for free via happybirthday.goethe-on-demand.de.
