The health of our guests and course participants is very important to us. On this page, we inform you about our offers and current access restrictions to our institute.

The Goethe-Institut Philippinen will be partially open to the public starting this May 2022. Please read the guidelines below before visiting.

Language Courses and EXAMS

From May 4, 2022, our language course office will be happy to receive customers face to face for consultation during service hours (except public holidays) from Monday to Friday 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm; up to 5 customers will be admitted at the same time to the premises.

During exam weeks visits will be possible upon appointment. Visitors must comply with current health protocols, wear a facemask and be fully vaccinated.
  • COURSES: We are now offering limited offline classroom courses starting August 2022 for A1 level. Courses for other levels would only be available online at the moment. To check the schedule of our courses, click here.
  • EXAMINATIONS: Our German Language exams will continue to be conducted every month. You can view the schedule here.

Our library is now open for you to visit from Monday to Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pm, starting on July 01, 2022. Please note that access is currently limited to a maximum of 8 people at a time. Outstanding loans are still extended and overdue fees will be waived.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: I would like to register for a course/exam. How can I register?
A: Enrollees may opt to enroll online or in-person at our language course office. For online enrollments, just fill-up the online registration form for coursesor exams and wait for the confirmation email from our language course office. For in-person enrollment, we will be accepting enrollees again starting on May 04, 2022. You can check the language course office schedule and protocol here.

Q: What are the other safety requirements during in-person enrollment?
A: The language course office can only admit up to 5 customers at the same time to the premises. During exam weeks visits will be possible upon appointment. Visitors must comply with our current health protocols, wear a face mask, bring their own hand sanitizer or disinfectant spray, show proof of full vaccination, and observe social distancing.

Q: What are the safety requirements during examinations? 
A: Please note that all exam participants need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 AND present their original vaccination card which shows that the participant is fully vaccinated on the day of the exam. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their last dose.​​ To see the complete exam guidelines you need to know before taking your exam, watch this.

Q: I would like to claim my exam results. How and when can I claim my certificate?
A: Starting May 2022, exam participants may now pick-up their exam certificates at the Adamson Centre on certain dates and strictly by appointment only. Printed certificates will be available 5 to 10 working days after exam results are posted online.
Participants may still opt for their printed certificates to be delivered via LBC free of charge. They will be ask on the day of the exam which method they prefer.

Q: When is the library open?
A: The Goethe-Institut Manila library will be open for you to visit from Monday to Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pm, starting on July 01. 2022.

Q: Can I borrow books/materials/media to take home from the library?
A: Yes, library lending services including borrowing, returning, and applying for a membership are back to normal. In addition, loans are extended and overdue fees will be waived.

Q: What are the guidelines and protocols in entering the library?
A: We will not be requiring any vaccination card upon entry but the library indoor capacity will be limited to 8 persons at a time.

Q: I still want to read German books at home. Is there any way I can do it online?
A: The Goethe-Institut has a digital library called the Onleihe that's free of charge. More than 35,000 German language eBooks, audio books, movies, materials for German language learners, magazines and newspapers are available for downloading from the Onleihe.
