WALKING PERFORMANCE
Performance artist Honi Ryan creates interactions between people and places that occur in everyday environments but point towards new possibilities. Her eight-week residency in Lahore comprised of several research facets based on Walking in Lahore. On December 2, Ryan offers participants a chance to join a silent walk in the city that will activate deep listening to place, and encourage embodied responses in the context of the critical dialogues happening at the symposium itself.
To participate in the walk please sign-up on Thursday, December 1, at the Symposium CITY IN CONTEXT, Alhamra Arts Council, Hall 3. Places are limited. The meeting point will be announced.

URBANITIES exhibition in Lahore, December 1-4, 2016.
ABOUT HONI RYAN
Honi Ryan is an australian born Berlin-based performance and installation artist working with a nomadic social practice. Se is currently
artist in residency in the frame of “Urbanities – art and public space in Pakistan” and hosted by
Lahore Biennale Foundation in Lahore.
She has performed, exhibited and presented her projects in more than 10 countries and in various publications over the past decade. Ryan was valedictorian of Sydney College of the Arts for her honours thesis in 2008, and graduated with a Masters of Fine Art in Creative Practice from the Transart Institute, Berlin and NY in 2015.
The performance takes place in the framework of “Urbanities – art and public space in Pakistan”, a critical exploration of the urban.
