Prüfungszentren sind Institutionen, die berechtigt sind, Prüfungen des Goethe-Instituts durchzuführen. Die Lizenznehmer führen in der Regel auch prüfungsvorbereitende Sprachkurse durch.
Die Fachaufsicht liegt bei einem Kulturinstitut im Ausland.
