This movie sketches social panoramas of Berlin in the late 1920s. Menschen untereinander delineates the social microcosm of a tenement building; the tenants represent a cross-section of poverty, corruption and compassion, thereby portraying their different sorrows and class opposites. While they all experience love, luck and disappointment, their differing social positions allows a broad picture of how lives are effected by economic crisis and hardships.
