War in Europe
Things Fall Apart
Things are falling apart...
By Gloria Ssanyu Mukasa
We are not only writing this to pay tribute to one of Africas greatest writers Chinua Achebe but to the meaning that lies behind:
The violent invasion and occupation of people has always caused separation that leaves deep scars in the (hi)stories of societies.
While looking at the history of German colonialism this week, we are witnessing a scary event in Europe:
The Ukraine was invaded by Russia last night. The tension in the air has escalated into a war.
The conflict is complex and based on many different interest and perspectives.
However, their worst consequences always hit the most vulnerable in societies.
Their voices are mostly the least heard but the most important ones to listen to.
This post is to voice solidarity with the affected people.
