German Teacher

The Goethe-Institut in Kigali is looking for German teachers (f/m) to teach German as of now or later. Working conditions and remuneration are in accordance with Rwandan law and local custom.

Requirements

  • Native language German or C1 level for non-native speakers.
  • Completed university studies in DaF, German language and literature, or a comparable qualification
  • Teaching experience with a language course provider
  • Experience with current teaching materials for DaF
  • Experience with learning-oriented teaching methods and modern teaching technology
  • High level of intercultural competence as well as strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to conduct classes also in the evenings and on Saturdays
If the requirements are not met in full, the remuneration may differ from that stated.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching German levels A1 - C1
  • Preparation and wrap-up of lessons
  • Correction of homework and tests
  • Conducting central examinations of the Goethe-Institut
