Shooting films means reflecting reality. Two German and 10 Rwandan Filmmakers will show a colourful mix of experimental, documentary and fictional shortfilms, which all deal with the societies’ problems. What changed during the last years? Which problems have increased? Which have been solved? Let us watch the films and discuss about habits, culture, clichés and how to find the right style for a film. The Gorilla Media Cooperative is a new founded production company in Rwanda. All members have recently graduated from Kwetu Film Institute in Kigali. Benjamin Rost and Oliver Völkel work as directors for documentaries in Germany, study at Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg and are currently working at GIZ in Kigali.
