Discussion Root Fellowship: Listen to: a street child

Discussion

Root Foundation hosts a row of discussions on vulnerable/underprivileged groups of people in our society. For the series „Listen To: …“ we are going to invite representatives of the target group who share their experience and are open to answer our questions and contribute to our discussions. We are addressing a very sensible topic each time to create awareness, understanding and support for affected people.

Root Foundation gives more than 100 street children a place to develop and an identity. There are a lot of children who aren’t going to school and spend their days and sometimes their nights in the streets. Whether they don’t have a caring family or their family is too poor to support them, the children live in the streets to own some money or get food in another way. What problems do street children face? What does it mean to live on your own in the streets? What can communities do to support them? Let us share stories with street children from different backgrounds and analyze our ability to influence their lives.
