Am Limit
Directed by Pepe Danquart (2006/2007) | Documentary, Original Version with English Subtitles, Colour, 96 min.
Alexander and Thomas Huber are brothers who have the same goal in life. They practice climbing as a high performance sport. Their tours are always 'on the limit' of the possible. In speed climbing, they are a two-man rope team, which defeats almost vertical rock walls at breathtaking speed. In Bavaria they are known as 'Huber-Buam', in the climbing world they are called 'The Brothers'. Director Pepe Danquart accompanied the Huber brothers to California and talked to them about climbing, danger and life. Spectacular reference point for 'Am Limit', the third installment of Danquart's Sports Trilogy, is an attempt to break the speed record for climbing the world's most famous climbing wall. Venue: the Yosemite National Park in the USA with the 1000 meter towering rock wall 'El Capitán'.
