Ubumuntu Arts Festival
Huza Press and the Goethe-Institut Kigali are pleased to welcome the author Lola Shoneyin from Nigeria to the Ubumuntu Arts Festival.
Her debut novel,
The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives was nominated for the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2010 and went on to win the PEN Oakland 2011 Josephine Miles Literary Award and the 2011 Ken Saro-Wiwa Prose Prize.
Lola Shoneyin’s work explores womanhood, sexuality and the intricacies of domestic life. She is working on her second novel and a new collection of poems. She resides in Lagos.
