Morabeza, The Force of Movement
With a migration rate of over 50 percent, the inhabitants of Cape Verde, a small country of the West coast of Africa, reflect on the value of human life through sodade-tinted glasses. Celebrating the Cape Verdean spirit of hospitality, or morabeza, as they question matters that are often taken for granted in discussing migration, Cape Verdeans share their views as the film analyses the positive and negative sides behind the movement, settlement and coexistence with people in reality, based on the accounts of individuals and their experiences.
