Who are we, what worlds do we inhabit and what is our responsibility as inhabitants of these worlds? These are some of the many questions raised by the 21st edition of the SWF, which returns every year as the leading literary event in the region, to inspire people, bring them together, and discover new worlds and ideas.
Pluralism and diversity across geographical borders and lifestyles have become attributes of contemporary German literature. We presented artists and writers whose works encompass disciplines and languages and who are marked by multiculturalism in their personal history and social environment. The different worlds in which these authors live and their concerns at the interfaces of man and technology, from ethics to gender to migration could have been discovered.
