Standard Courses

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable in full on enrolment and before commencement of the course, no later than the specified payment deadline. At the moment, we accept payment via bank transfer only.

Failure to make timely payment will result in loss of place in the course without further notice.

Unless stated otherwise, books must be purchased separately. Blended Learning Courses include the teaching material on our learning platform.

The contractually binding fee is the fee stated on the website of Goethe-Institut Singapore.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellations up to five working days (Mon-Fri) before the start of a course are free of charge. Thereafter, no refund of course fees can be given on intensive courses, and a refund of course fees less an administrative fee of S$ 70 will be given on extensive courses up until the end of the first course week. Students should please consider their personal commitments and circumstances before enrolment.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institut Singapore. 

Course fees cannot be transferred to another term or another person, be it in full or in part.

In order to achieve active engagement amongst course participants, all our courses require a minimum of 8 students for our standard group courses and a minimum of 6 students for our intensive group courses. In the event that these minimum numbers are not fulfilled, the Goethe-institute reserves the right to cancel affected courses and a full refund will be granted for payment made.

CHANGE OF COURSE
Transfers to another course level can be considered after the first course day, one time only and after consultation with your teacher and the Language Office.
 
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Our courses are designed for adult learners (age 16+).

The maximum number of participants for standard and intensive courses is 12.

Please note that special conditions apply for young learners’ courses, one-to-one and small group tuition, corporate courses and examinations.

There will be make-up sessions for public holidays as per in-class arrangement.

GOETHE-INSTITUT LIABILITY / FORCE MAJEURE
The liability of the Goethe-Institut and its employees is limited to intent and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institut is also not liable for disruption to its services due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, fire, flood, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contract parties).

When an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of Goethe Institut such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic or an event described by the legal term act of God (hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc.), we are subjected to offer course adjustments (e.g. room or schedule adjustments).

Young Learners' Courses

Corporate Courses

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Fees, including textbooks and transportation charge if any, are payable within 30 days by date of invoice.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellations up to five working days (Mon-Fri) before the start of a course are free of charge. After start of course no refund of course fees can be given.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institut Singapore.     

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The recommended maximum number of participants is 12 for company courses. 

For cancellation and rescheduling of a session, at least 24 hours advance notice is required, otherwise it will be charged as one session.

For courses outside Goethe-Institut a transportation charge is applicable depending on the distance between the Goethe-Institut and the requested venue.

Individual and Small Group Tuition

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable in full before commencement of the course. At the moment, we accept payment via bank transfer only.

Failure to make timely payment will result in loss of entitlement to the course.

Unless stated otherwise, books must be purchased separately.

Payment for individuals and small groups made by their employer are due on receipt of our invoice.

The maximum number of participants is 2 for individual tuition. 

The maximum number of participants is 5 for small group tuition. 

The minimum booking for individual/small group tuition is 5 sessions of 2 TU (= 90 min).

Sessions have to be conducted as scheduled and taken within 6 months of start of course. For cancellation and rescheduling, at least 24 hours advance notice is required, otherwise it will be charged as one session.

For courses outside Goethe-Institut a transportation charge is applicable depending on the distance between the Goethe-Institut and the requested venue.

Examinations

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable in full not later than ten working days before the examination date. At the moment. At the moment, we accept payment via bank transfer only.

Failure to make payment on or before the stipulated date will result in cancellation of your booking without further notice.

The contractually binding fee is the fee stated on the website of Goethe-Institut Singapore.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
In case of cancellation up to ten working days (Mon-Fri) before the examination date the fees less an administrative fee of S$ 70 will be refunded. Hereafter no refund of examination fees can be given.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
The offered examinations are recommended for adult participants (16 years and above). Young Learners’ examinations can be arranged on request.

For the examinations, we have a capacity of 12 participants. Once an examination is fully booked, we cannot accept more participants even if the registration deadline has not expired.
