Many schools in Senegal and Germany would like to have a mutual exchange. This can take place on a wide variety of levels. School partnerships exist in the areas of intercultural exchange, pen pals, joint projects or even personal exchange formats for students. Together with the German teachers of the established multiplier network of Senegal, the Goethe-Institut Senegal has created a handout for school partnerships. Besides giving reasons for the establishment of a school partnership as well as different school partnership possibilities, we have collected best-practise examples from all over Senegal. We point out difficulties, challenges, and partners in the extracurricular area and also the many diverse possibilities that a school partnership can offer.
The Goethe-Institut thus supports schools in Germany and Senegal in the project of intercultural exchange, as well as in conveying an up-to-date image of Germany.
