On August 19 the ten participating Goethe-Institutes in Asia will compete for the champion title of this year's Esports tournament. After two weeks of heated preliminary rounds, the library in Bangkok will once again be transformed into an arena packed with exciting
events.
Three professional Esport players Rujikorn “Bossui” Taewattanasakul, team captain of PES BURIRAM UNITED and Champion of PES League Asia 2015, Archawin Sawaroj and Sitpurit Nugdai, player and coach of MS Cerberus, Port FC, will give us an insight about this exciting field and share their experiences about the PES World Finals in Berlin and London. The host for the evening will be no other than sport moderator Peeranat Jampangern aka “Tonekung“ (FM99/ MCOT), who will also moderate the big finale later that evening.

Who can take part in the competition? Any current course participant at the Goethe-Institut Thailand can join the competition. Registration is until 15 July at the library.
Where will this take place? Both offline and online rounds will take place at the library. Players are welcome to practice during the library’s opening hours.
Who can watch the matches? Anyone! Your friends or classmates can watch the matches and offer support.
Tournament overview
The tournament is formatted to include 3 rounds:
- Preliminary rounds (July 15-28): In these local offline knockout rounds, the registered contestants from the Goethe-Institut Thailand will compete against each other until a solitary winner is decided. That person will represent the Institute to compete against the other winners from the other participating Institutes: Bandung, Colombo, Chennai, Dhaka, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune.
- Playoffs (August 2): Goethe-Institut Thailand’s winning representative will compete against the representing finalists from the other participating Goethe Institutes (online). The top 3 players with the best scores will advance to the final round.
- Final (August 19): This final round will be a public viewing event. The champion and the runners-up will receive the following exciting prizes.
Prizes
- The Champion of the tournament (1st winner of the final): One-month language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany. The scholarship covers the language course, accommodations, and flight cost (Economy-Class). The booking will be organized by the Goethe-Institut.
- The first and second runners-up of the final: Language course scholarship at their respective Goethe-Instituts (where registration has taken place).
- The top 3 players of the preliminary round at the Goethe-Institut Thailand will each receive attractive prizes.
