Open Air Cinema 2016/17

Every Tuesday at 19.30 hrs., | December6, 2016 until February 28, 2017 | Opening on December 6, 2016 at 18:30 Hrs.

As the year draws to a close, the open-air cinema is back at the Goethe-Institut Thailand! As always, the aim of the outdoor film screenings is to give our viewers a greater insight into German cinema and the work of contemporary German film directors. Many of the selected films have just premiered this year and won several awards - reason enough to include them in our 2016/17 programme!

New this season:The films will be shown with English and Thai subtitles to ensure that all our viewers enjoy a relaxing film evening! The new film series gets underway on 6 December at 18.30 hrs. with a small opening ceremony followed by the screening of the opening film, “Hin und Weg“, at 19.30 hrs. “Hin und Weg” tells the story of a group of friends who take off together on a rather different kind of journey. The open-air cinema series closes on Tuesday, 28 February 2017 with the screening of a true highlight for young and old: “FackJuGöhte 2”.

This year, we are especially happy to enlist the cooperation of both the Swiss and Austrian Embassies in Thailand, which have contributed to the programme with film productions from their respective countries.

All night owls and film fans are cordially invited to come along and enjoy the Goethe outdoor screenings. Entrance is free of charge!
