One of Italy’s most renowned and popular children’s book authors today, Roberto Piumini was born in 1947 in Edola, near Brescia. A trained educator, he worked for many years as a teacher, actor and puppeteer, before turning to writing. In addition to publishing countless novels for children, young people and adults, he has written plays, poems, fables, fairy tales and ballads, as well as scripts, texts for television and radio, songs, and opera libretti.
