DC Shorts 2021: Out to Vote - World Premiere Live Screening & Panel Discussion
IMPFNACHWEIS/NEGATIVER TEST ERFORDERLICH: Jeder, der an diesem Programm teilnimmt, muss eine vollständige Impfung gegen COVID-19 oder einen negativen Test, der innerhalb der letzten 72 Stunden vor dem Tag der Veranstaltung durchgeführt wurde, zusammen mit einem passenden Lichtbildausweis vorlegen. Join DC Shorts International Film Festival, Bertelsmann Foundation, and Goethe-Institut Washington for the World Premier Live Screening of the Bertelsmann Foundation documentary Out to Vote, followed by a dynamic panel discussion on voting rights. The evening will close with a post-panel wine and cheese reception.

Out to Vote - After winning a fight to restore voting rights for formerly incarcerated individuals, returning citizens Bobby Perkins, Nicole Hanson-Mundell and Monica Cooper go all-in to get out the vote in Baltimore, Maryland. Their efforts in the run-up to the 2020 election, in the face of misinformation, polarization, and a global pandemic, are filmed in this Bertelsmann Foundation documentary. It is a story of redemption, and a story of democracy.
