This new TV production is the portrayal of one man's crusade against the whitewash of Nazi criminals under the regime of Chancellor Adenauer. Stepping into "enemy territory" whenever he leaves his office, Fritz Bauer is nonetheless unshakable in his belief that prosecuting the Holocaust's perpetrators is the only way to solidify democracy in West Germany.
