FILM|NEU 2023 FILM FESTIVAL | SCHLAMASSEL

1997. 7 ½ years after the "Wende" (German reunification). The year in which Johanna's grandma passes away.

Johanna's soul is in turmoil. No matter what she does, it's wrong. Suddenly, it's wrong to give the heir hunter of an uncle a piece of her mind at Grandma's funeral. Johanna doesn't give herself time, not to grieve and not to find peace. Crushed by ambivalent feelings, she runs herself ragged in her personal life and as an overworked intern, often hiding behind her camera.
