Rights

Our films are subject to non-commercial screening laws. The films can be rented for non-commercial screenings only. Copying the films onto video or other formats is against the law. Unlawful screenings are subject to prosecution. In order to protect the creators’ rights, the films must be shown in their entirety and cannot be altered. Screening rights cannot be granted to third parties. The films can only be promoted via press releases.

Bookings

Please send your request at least one month prior to your screening date by email to Karin Oehlenschläger (Karin.Oehlenschlaeger@goethe.de) and include your screening date and mailing address. We will inform you within five business days after receiving your order whether the title you requested is available for your screening date.

Shipping

DVDs and Blue Rays will be shipped by regular mail and can be returned by regular mail. Films should be returned to:

Screening equipment

The discs are on PAL format. You would need a multiformat DVD player.

Please check our online catalog. For each film title in the catalog there is a program note providing credits, synopses, and information on the film’s themes, style, and historical context.
