Leila just turned 34 and has been with her boyfriend for a very long time. When she discovers at her sister’s wedding that her sibling is pregnant, she promptly gives her boyfriend an ultimatum: she also wants to have a baby. Preferably, right at that moment. The boyfriend is out the door faster than she can say “baby."

One year later, he is dating someone new, and Leila is about to turn 35, the infamous milestone when fertility
"drops off a cliff." Leila’s sister Amanda, on the other hand, in her last term of her pregnancy, but diapers and baby powder do not necessarily fit into the career plan of the ambitious architect.

Sophie, the third and final in the “thirty-something” gang, is a single parent struggling with an irresponsible ex-husband who has surprisingly decided to move to New York. To sum it all up: “it’s complicated.”

Natascha Beller was born in 1982 in Zurich, Switzerland. She finished several commercial apprenticeships in 2001, followed by a trip around the world, and further study in painting on commission and photography. Between 2004 and 2006, Beller studied with the creative preparatory class at Zurich University of Art. In 2006, she began to study film at Zurich University of Art, and at the same time worked in the field of photography and film. In 2010, Beller graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film, followed by further screenplay training in New York. Since then, she has worked as a writer and director.

Beller is winner of the ADC Young Creative Award, co-author of the worldwide viral hit Switzerland Second and wrote the SRF television films Vaterjagd and Zwiespalt. Currently, she is author and director of the SRF late-night TV show Deville
