2018 the Goethe-Instituts are once again organizing Career Days for High School and college students in multiple cities throughout the USA. Take a look at when a Career Day in your area is taking place and make sure to plan the attendance for you or your entire class.
You can make a difference! This is the motto of this year’s summer camp by the initiative “Schools: Partners of the Future” (PASCH) in Portland, Oregon. For one week, students from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America will come together to collaborate on projects while incorporating media such as theater, photography and music. Date: July 8-15, 2018.
The Goethe-Institut once again participated in the Southern Conference On Language Teaching (SCOLT) in Atlanta. In addition to a conference table, the Goethe-Institut Washington held a session on new projects and offers for teachers and learners of German. In addition, we awarded the recipient of this year's Goethe-Institut SCOLT award for a 2 week professional development in Germany this summer.

The AATG-VA held its annual immersion weekend for German teachers at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. The weekend's topic was “Theater in the German language classroom” and was led by Dr. Sabine Gross (University of Wisconsin-Madison). Many different activities turned it into an amazing event!
