Please register and pay for courses online as soon as you know you'd like to join us. Courses with low enrollment will be cancelled one week prior to the beginning of classes starting. Make sure you secure your place in class, and help us to have an accurate course count, by registering early. Send us an email to join our mailing list and make sure you receive information about registration: germancourses-boston@goethe.de
If you are a beginner, please register online for the A1.1 course of your choice. Returning students may register for the next higher course than they have completed, with the permission of their instructor. Students new to the Goethe-Institut Boston are required to take the online Placement Test. Send us an email, and we will happily send you the link for the test.
We ask that students with previous experience with German take a placement test in order to help us more accurately assess the appropriate class level. The test takes about 60 minutes to complete. It can be taken at home on a private computer. Once you have submitted the placement test, we will schedule a verbal assessment with one of our instructors.

7a. COVID-19 Contingency Plan
The Goethe-Institut is committed to the health and safety of our students, as well as their ability to continue their studies without interruption. In order to achieve this goal, if we are unable to continue to offer in-person interaction due to the public health crisis, all Face-to-Face and Blended Learning Courses will move into digital classroom spaces, with at least 90 minutes of live interaction; the remaining amount of weekly meeting time will be supplemented with asynchronous, interactive digital activities. By registering for a spring semester Face-to-Face and Blended Learning Course, you agree that you have read this notification, and accept the digital alternative in the event of a health emergency that forces those courses to be offered digitally. If you do not accept this condition, please do not register for a Face-to-Face and Blended Learning Course with us in the spring semester, as no refunds will be made in the event that courses must be offered with a live digital option, rather than in our brick and mortar locations.
