What we offer

Events for School Classes

The Goethe-Institut Boston regularly organizes events at schools to get young people interested in German language.

Film Archive

Our collection contains over 1090 titles on digital formats (DVD and blue ray). The films can be rented for non-commercial screenings by cinematheques, film clubs, film festivals, and other cultural and educational institutions. Please note that the standard is PAL – you would need a multistandard DVD-player.

Book club

We meet to discuss contemporary German literature, from modern classics to more recent arrivals on the literary scene.

Philosophy Group

The Philosophy Group meets once a month, always Wednesdays, at the Literatursalon of the Goethe-Institut. Books and authors are introduced in the beginning, and discussions are lightly moderated.

Further Offers

German short or animated films with teaching materials – a great addition for German classes.

Reading Room

Our Literatursalon houses a selection of the latest print materials — in German and in English translation — covering current trends and contemporary topics in Germany.
