The basic income shows very different ideological faces, depending on the type and scope of income. The basic income is undisputedly a powerful idea: land, water and air are gifts of nature. They differ from private property that individual people generate. But if we draw wealth from nature, from common resources, this wealth belongs to all of us to the same extent. From Alaska's oil fields to the Canadian prairie, Washington's thought factories and the Namibian steppe, the film takes us on a great journey and shows us what the leaderless car has to do with the ideas of a German billionaire and a Swiss people's initiative.
