Ferdi (Tom Lass), an awkward twenty-something outsider, seems to have trouble making friends, but what he really wants is a girlfriend. For Ferdi, his biggest obstacle is his looks- he think's he's ugly. When meets Jona (Achternbusch), it is as though his dream has come true. Jona, is young, attractive, friendly, and most importantly: she's blind. Unfortunately, Ferdi doesn't know that Jona is only pretending to be blind, so that she can live in a subsidized apartment reserved for the visually impaired. As the two spend time together, it turns out that they both really like one another. How long can Jona keep Ferdi in the dark about her secret? Can Tom handle a girlfriend who really sees him for himself? With a who's who cast of Berlin-based filmmakers, Lass takes a closer look at love, and questions if it truly is blind in this off-beat tragically comedic drama.
