Standard, Intensive, Super Intensive

Learn German from the pros: The Goethe-Institut New York offers you Standard, Intensive, and Super Intensive course options. After taking an individual placement test, you will start taking lessons at the course level that is right for you. If you have no prior knowledge of German, you will automatically begin at level A1.

Standard German Course

10-week courses
40 total Teaching Units (TU) of 45 minutes
2 classes per week (2 TU per session) or 1 class per week (4 TU per session)

Intensive Course

10-week course
100 total Teaching Units (TU) of 45 minutes
2 classes per week (4 TU per session)

Super Intensive Course

5-week courses
100 total Teaching Units (TU) of 45 minutes
4 classes per week (4 TU per session and 4 TU online)

Immersion Days

Are you thinking about taking a German course but don't know what to expect? Enroll in our full-day immersion program to experience our teaching style and philosophy first hand, meet other potential students and start your German learning process right there. Also, get 10% for a Goethe-Institut course after attending an immersion day. Lunch and a library membership for one year are included..
