In culmination of Distinguished Concert International New York's Tenth Anniversary Season, Maestro Jonathan Griffith conducts the Distinguished Concerts Singers and Orchestra in Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Choral Fantasy. The concert will feature performers from all over the globe, including Da Capo (Gesangeverein Raidwangen 1898 e.v.) and Reutlinger Liederkranz 1827 e.v. from Germany.

Da Capo is one of three choirs of the Gesangverein Raidwangen 1898 e.V. Founded in 1997, the choir is for younger singers who want to perform some modern kind of music including rock and pop songs, musicals and Gospel along with classical music. Most performances are presented without choral score and are performed with choreography for an added visual element. Outstanding recent performances include "Fernsehgarten" on television, a backing choir for a Queen show in Stuttgart and the performance of the musical "Joseph".

Reutlinger Liederkranz is one of the oldest singing clubs in Germany. Five mixed choirs represent the full range of choral music, from classical to arrangements of modern music. Singers are from 10 to well over 80 years, which shows that singing keeps you young and healthy. The ensemble is committed to promoting young talent to a considerable extent, thus making a significant contribution to cultural preservation of the songs and connecting generations.

Both choirs are directed by Thomas Preiß, who studied at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart. He teaches at the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium in Reutlingen. He is known for big performances with more than 3000 singers, as well as the concerts with Monrose, Nena, Xavier Naidoo and the Fischer-choirs. With his choirs, Thomas Preiß framed the official celebrations of the German Federal Government on the 20th anniversary of German unification in Berlin.
