Director: Sebastian Schipper, 140 min., 2014/15

Goethe-Institut San Francisco, Auditorium

The story tells, in just one seamless shot, brilliantly concentrated to an ecstatic real time experience, this: a young Spanish girl is dancing her way through the Berlin scene lost to herself. In front of a club she meets four guys who introduce themselves as Sonne, Boxer, Blinker and Fuß. A conversation quickly starts. Sonne and Victoria are interested in each other and take the first opportunity to leave the group. Their soft flirt is interrupted by the others because, for them, the night is not going to be over for a long time. To pay off old scores emanating from the time when Boxer was in jail, they intend to rob a private bank. Because one of them is too drunk Victoria is supposed to take over the part of the driver. The game suddenly takes a serious turn.
