Hear Now Radio presents Grace Cavalieri – 40 Years of “The Poet and the Poem” and other stories about radio in Washington.

In this open discussion with poet, playwright, and radio host Grace Cavalieri, join us to celebrate Grace Cavalieri’s amazing work presenting poetry on WPFW-FM and Pacifica Radio as well as from the Library of Congress. Cavalieri has interviewed over 2,000 poets over the years, allowing listeners on public radio stations across the country to connect with some of the world’s best writers. We’ll hear excerpts from some of her favorite programs and talk with her about why she does what she does.

Grace Cavalieri has received the 2013 George Garrett Award, the PEN-Fiction Award, the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting Silver Medal, and awards from the National Commission on Working Women, the West Virginia Commission on Women, the American Association of University Women, The DC Poet Laureate Award from Dolores Kendrick, the Paterson Lifetime Achievement Award, and more.

Everybody loves Grace – come hear why.
