The Luther Code (4-6):
Dream of Justice (19th century), Power and Responsibility (20th century), Belief in the Future (21st century)
Germany, 2016, 3 x 42 min., Directors:  Wilfried Hauke, Alexandra Hardorf

Parts 3-6 of the six-part documentary The Luther Code ask about modernity and our capacity to master the future. Do we need a second Reformation, a new understanding of our world?

Every episode focuses on one century in the modern era. Experts such as Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia), sociologists Eva Illouz and Jochen Hörisch, thinker Luciano Floridi and historian Hartmut Lehman draw upon the Reformation and modernity to counter some of the biggest questions of our time – questions about identity, responsibility and the future.

No charge; reservations requested. Seating is limited.
