Living on Cape Cod for many years, I work as the Academic Dean of an independent day school where I also teach German. I completed my studies in English and German at the University of Göttingen (M.A., Ph.D.). I am also certified as a teacher of German as a Foreign Language. In addition to German courses for various institutions on the Cape, I have also been teaching at the Goethe-Institut in Boston since 2012.
It is important for me to support and promote the enjoyment of language learning. Learning a language opens up a deeper understanding of another perspective and thus creates the precondition for respectful relations in complex intercultural situations. It is exciting to accompany both learners and teachers during this process.
