Get started: German exams „Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1“ and „Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch“
The Goethe Institut supports students and teachers from the time they initially begin preparing for the FIT exams to the examination day at the school. This is a win-win situation for all involved:
Students receive an internationally recognized exam that will open many doors for their future – to German universities, an internship or a job in a German company. They discover how good their German already is and that they can not only speak with their teacher, but communicate with native speakers in simple sentences as well. The FIT German exams encourage students to continue with their studies of German. Parents particularly appreciate the additional qualification their children receive, which provides an advantage when applying for scholarships and exchange programs in both the US and Germany.
American teachers consider the Germ exams „Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1“ and „Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch“ a great preparatory tool for AP and IB exams. The Goethe-Institut provides them with teaching materials and webinars to help them and their students prepare for the exam. Two examiners from the Goethe-Institut conduct the exams at school.
The German exams „Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1“ and „Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch“ are geared towards teenagers from ten to fifteen years old. The exams confirm basic knowledge of German and correspond to the first (A1) and the second (A2) levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
