Student Workshops "Food Waste: Was kannst du tun?"

Food waste is an enormous problem. But what can we do against it? The Goethe-Institut Boston in cooperation with the successful German start-up Sirplus is offering student workshops about this topic.

In Germany, each minute a truckload of food is thrown out. In the US about 40 percent of all food is wasted while more than 12 percent of American households live in food insecurity. Apart from the ethical aspects, food waste causes huge environmental problems, for instance through water waste of CO2- emissions.

In this free virtual workshop your students can learn more about this exciting and relevant topic and design a personal plan against food waste.

The workshops last approximately 45 minutes and are offered in German or English using Zoom. They are designed for students learning German at US high schools. On the registration form, you can state your preference for dates and times and we will get in touch with you.

If you are interested, please fill out our registration form and we will get in touch with you. Space is limited, so be quick!
