 2018 the Goethe-Instituts are once again organizing Career Days for High School and college students in multiple cities throughout the USA. Take a look at when a Career Day in your area is taking place and make sure to plan the attendance for you or your entire class.

ASCA Conference 2018 in Los Angeles

The Goethe-Institut was a first-time exhibitor at this year's American School Counselor Association (ASCA) in Los Angeles. Representatives from Goethe-Institutes WDC and SFO gave information about our projects and goals concerning German as a foreign language in the US educational system, including the situation of German as a foreign language in the US, the advantages of knowing German and how to best make a case for foreign language education overall.

SCOLT 2018 in Atlanta

The Goethe-Institut once again participated in the Southern Conference On Language Teaching (SCOLT) in Atlanta. In addition to a conference table, the Goethe-Institut Washington held a session on new projects and offers for teachers and learners of German. In addition, we awarded the recipient of this year's Goethe-Institut SCOLT award for a 2 week professional development in Germany this summer.

NSBA Conference 2018 in San Antonio

The Goethe-Institut was a first-time exhibitor at the National School Boards Association (NSBA) Annual Conference 2018 in San Antonio. Representatives from Goethe-Institutes in the US informed about our projects and goals concerning German as a foreign language in the US educational system. PASCH Summer Camp in Portland

You can make a difference! This was the motto of this year’s summer camp by the initiative “Schools: Partners of the Future” (PASCH) in Portland, Oregon. For one week, students from the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America came together to collaborate on projects while incorporating media such as theater, photography and music.
