Frequently asked questions

There are different online courses for different needs. If you would like to learn with a teacher, our Deutsch Online Individual course, Online Group course, Blended Learning and Deutsch Online Live are suitable.
If you would like to learn German on your own without a teacher, our Deutsch Online Individual Training is right for you.

The Deutsch Online Individual course is perfect if you want to learn individually and at your own pace. You will receive support from your teacher, who will meet you three to four times in the virtual classroom. In this course the larger part is devoted to independent learning rather than online instruction.

The Online Group course is particularly suitable if you want to study on your own but still want to exchange ideas with a group. You will meet your teacher and the group several times in the virtual classroom, depending on the length of the course. In this course the larger part is devoted to independent learning rather than online instruction.

Blended Learning is the right course for everyone who wants to learn intensively in a group and would like to supplement this group experience with individual learning. The proportion of independent learning and online instruction is equal in this course.

Deutsch Online Live offers individual one-on-one sessions with a tutor and is particularly suitable for targeted exam preparation or as a conversation practice for job interviews or business appointments.

The Deutsch Online Individual Training enables independent learning on the learning platform of the Goethe-Institut without the support of a teacher.
