A Documentary by Nathan Eddy

Between November 5 and November 14, 2021, we host with MAS Context the digital screening of Battleship Berlin, a documentary by Nathan Eddy. The film had its world premiere in Berlin on June 26, 2021.

Director: Nathan Eddy, Germany, 2021, 40 Min, With English Subtitles

For years, the fate of the brutalist former research laboratory building, where animal experiments took place under the roof of Berlin's Charité hospital, has been the subject of heated debate.
In his new film, director Nathan Eddy lets all opinions on the future of the aptly named Mäusebunker building have their say. What future does it deserve according to politicians, preservationists, architects, gallery owners and architecture students?

Nathan Eddy is an award-winning American filmmaker and journalist specializing in architecture and urban planning issues. His first two films, The Absent Column and Starship Chicago, document the struggle to protect Chicago’s architectural heritage. In 2017, Eddy organized and led the successful protest movement to landmark New York City’s epochal postmodern skyscraper, Philip Johnson and John Burgee’s AT&T Building.
