Artist and musician Danielle de Picciotto is back in Seattle. This time, she joins us for an intimate concert/spoken word performance of her newly released album, Deliverance. And we are truly excited!

Deliverance speaks specifically of de Picciotto’s continuing journeys and the state of the world more widely. Despair and hope lie side by side and her music reflects their dark shadows and beauty. Her compositions are a mixture of spoken word, electronic soundscapes, melancholic
violin harmonies, and surreal choirs moving from experimental sounds to mystical melodies. Her live show is enhanced by beautiful visuals made up of her drawings and paintings, which she animates and morphs into a dreamy, surreal world that compliments her music.

Joining de Picciotto that evening, we welcome back Minneapolis-based comic artist and musician Zak Sally. Back in July, Sally joined Berlin-based comic artist Ulli Lust at the Goethe Pop Up Seattle for a conversation on their recent literary work. This time, Sally will open the event with performance of his musical work.

About Danielle de Picciotto
Artist and musician Danielle de Picciotto is co-founder of the Love Parade and Ocean Club, together with Gudrun Gut. Since 1987, she has been initiating countless events, exhibitions, and projects in and around Berlin. In 2001, she founded the band hackedepicciotto together with Alexander Hacke, founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten. In addition to this, de Picciotto releases solo albums. Her first album, Tacoma, was released on Moabit, the experimental / spoken word label by Gudrun Gut. Deliverance is her second solo album.
