Writer-Director: Tom Lass, Germany, 2012, 78 min. In German with English subtitles, digital. Starring: Tom Lass, Amelie Kiefer, Martina Schöne-Radunski, Christian Kuchenbuch, Thomas Schmuckert, Gunnar Teuber

Oskar’s (Lass) turbulent relationship with his girlfriend, Alex (Schöne-Radunski) ends in flames, when she sets fire to his apartment. Now, stuck in a shabby basement apartment, Oskar’s new surroundings do little to improve his outlook on life.  This slowly changes after Oskar meets the equally lonely Masha (Kiefer), who, in her own search for love bounces around from older man to older man.
As the two combat their individual loneliness together, Oskar gradually opens up to the idea of a romance with his new-found friend, but only under the condition that they agree to abstain from sex. As quickly as the two agree to their new pact, Oskar regrets his decision. When Alex re-enters Oskar’s life, determined to hang on to him, she threatens the delicate balance of his new relationship with Masha.
Lass’ second feature length film offers a candid look at the unique fragments of a young relationship.
