Video works from the past 5 decades from the collections of the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) and the New York-based Electronic Arts Intermix (EAI) are shown together for the first time. The founding period of both institutions in 1971 coincides with the birth of video art. The works in the show trace the urban landscapes of Berlin and New York from the perspective of German and US filmmakers respectively and attempt to capture the appeal that both metropolises have exerted on artists worldwide for decades.
