About the Movie Screening Die göttliche Ordnung

Nora is a young housewife and mother who lives with her husband and two sons in a small Swiss village in 1971. Everything seems idyllic and peaceful until the village and family-life is shaken when Nora begins to campaign for women's suffrage.

Die göttliche Ordnung is the first feature film about Swiss women's suffrage and its late national introduction in 1971. Writer-director Petra Volpe (Traumland, screenplay of Heidi) takes the audience on an emotional journey into rural Switzerland in the 1970s. Die göttliche Ordnung sets a memorial to all the people who fought for equal political rights back then, as well as to all those who continue to fight for equal rights and self-determination today.

Director: Petra Volpe
Country: Switzerland 2016
Length: 96 minutes
