Professional Development Workshop for Teachers of German with Elena Alston

What do I hope to achieve in my lesson? What do my students need to get there? And what does this have to do with the concept of “task-oriented lesson planning”?

In addition to reflecting on your own lesson planning, you will also learn concrete strategies for developing learning objectives that lead towards the successful completion of an authentic language task. We will focus on the model of task-oriented planning and the features of end results which can serve as the starting point for a lesson. We will work together to plan a lesson sequence “in reverse” and discuss how you can implement these principles and methods in your classroom.

The workshop is free of charge and open to all teachers of German US-wide.
