BAM Next Wave Festival 2018
In
Kreatur,
Sasha Waltz and her 14 dancers examine the phenomenon of existence against the background of a disrupted society: power and a lack of power, dominance and weakness, freedom and control, community and isolation. Featuring sculptural costumes by Dutch couture revolutionary
Iris van Herpen, stark lightscapes by designer
Urs Schönebaum, and an industrial, atmospheric score by
Soundwalk Collective,
Kreatur conjures a hallucinatory existence where power shifts constantly and freedom can only come from within.
