Exams currently scheduled are cancelled. As soon as the Goethe-Institut San Francisco is able to offer on-site exams, alternative dates will be made available. All participants will be contacted individually.

Exams in September: The exams are planned for the stated dates. In light of the current situation, it is not clear if the exams can actually take place in September. For this reason, the booking function was deactivated. There will be an update at the end of May and the booking function may be reactivated at that point.

Frequently asked questions

Spring Term Courses

Standard courses and Blended Learning classes take place as scheduled. Instead of in-person classes at the institute, there will be live group online meetings with conference software tools. Students can continue learning German without being exposed to a potential risk of infection.
In addition wi offer two new Blended Learning courses starting April 6. These courses consist of 50% live group meetings, and 50% flexible online learning, supported by your teacher. With our sophisticated virtual classroom platform, the online live meetings are just as interactive as meeting at the institute. The group meetings will take place online until in-person classes can resume safely, after which the classes will be once again held at the Goethe-Institut San Francisco. Use discount code BLENDLEARN20OFF until April 19 to get a special 20% discount, good only for this term!

Online Group Courses (MARCH 30 | APRIL 13 | MAY 25)

These courses are entirely online for the full duration of the term, and are more intensive than the blended courses. You will have some live online group meetings, but not as many as in the blended courses. 8-week and 16-week course options are available. You will be working more independently in this format compared to Blended Learning Courses.
All exams are cancelled. As soon as the Goethe-Institut San Francisco can resume with exams at the institute, alternative dates will be offered. If you have any questions, please contact:
Bookings for spring courses can be cancelled until the course start begins. Any fee exceeding a 10% cancellation fee will be waived irrespective of the time of cancellation. After courses start, cancellations are no longer possible.
