A human being, as a rule, lives and acts in various networks. They provide a safe environment that supports that human, and at the same time they motivate and inspire us to grow and evolve in any imaginable direction. In our modern, digital, and globally oriented lives, our networks increase. Regardless of space and time, cultural identities can be supported and trans-national relations can be fostered.
However, the increase of trans-national relations also hold risks. Worldwide financial crises could only arise through global networks. Health crises like the corona pandemic have therefore been fed. During and after crises, another question arises: How can we use our networks in such emergency times for a better solidary?
n-e-t-w-o-r-k-i-n-g represents people and their networks through a multi-disciplinary performance. In a mixture of contemporary dance, live-installation, and composition, performers show how to create and use networks and how they can help to overcome times of crises.

About the artists:
Elisabeth Kindler-Abali (Germany / Sweden)
Elisabeth Kindler-Abali studied Classical Dance, Contemporary Dance and Improvisation at Palucca University of Dance Dresden in Germany. In Dresden she was part of Palucca Tanzstudio, where she has danced with Rodolpho Leoni. After graduation, Elisabeth began working at Staatstheater Darmstadt, directed by Mei Hong Lin and in 2006 moved to Berlin. Since then, she has been working as a freelance dancer, performing amongst others with: Chaim Gebber Berlin, Oxymoron Dance Company Potsdam, Musikakademie Rheinsberg, Theater Bonn, Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam, bo komplex & T42 dance (Bonn / Bern, Switzerland), Epiphany Dance Theater San Francisco / USA, Tim Rubel Human Shakes San Francisco /USA and Julia Anna Brendle Limassol / Cyprus.
In March 2018 she formed her own company animi motus in Berlin, where she is the artistic director. Two of her solos were awarded prizes. The pieces have been funded amongst others by: Goethe Institut, Stiftung Frauen in Europa / TuWas - Stiftung für Gemeinsinn, Fonds Darstellende Künste, ND Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.. They have been presented in Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig, and Munich (Germany), as well as in Brussels (Belgien), San Francisco (USA), and others. Elisabeth is a certified project manager.
Jaspar Libuda (Germany)
The music of Berlin based composer and bass player Jaspar Libuda is at the interface of neo-classicism, Jazz, minimal music, and film music with a mix of set arrangements and improvisation through acoustic music as well as electronic music. He is known for his sensitive and virtuous play of the bow on the bass. With his specifically for him constructed 5-string-bass with a high c-string, loop station, and live electronic equipment, he creates a whole orchestra with timbres of cello, percussion, guitar, and oud. In 2006 the composer formed Jaspar Libuda Trio. In the same year, EP Alambic came out. In 2008 his first bass solo album Gideon came out and in 2009, the trio album Aquarius received the highest rate by RBB Kulturradio. He formed Duo Jaspar Libuda with Daniel Moheit in 2010 and his own label cinematic bass music in 2012. The following year, the first duo album Alarm auf der Zeitwacht and the second trio album Jahrtausendgänger that was produced by RBB Kulturradio came out, which was also played at ARD Radio Festival. Between 2013 and 2019 Jaspar Libuda worked on commissioned compositions and on film music, e.g. for RBB, Kuturingeniere, and Von Vietinghoff Filmproduktion. His 5-string-bass was built and he equipped in his own studio. His new works started coming out in 2020. Additionally to his own compositions and international performing, he has been part of several concerts and CD-productions of other artists and labels, such as RIAS Kammerchor, Nils Frahm, Jan B.ttcher, Klez.e, Greg Haines, Ali Al-Asi, Wasteland Green and Orlando (Roland Kunz), Kook Berlin/New York, Ateliermusik Hamburg, Loob Musik, Sonic Pieces.
Jaspar Libuda was invited to play his music at Jazzunits Festival, Jazz in den Ministergärten, Rudolstadt Festival, Siebenklang Festival, Magdeburger Songtage, Trinitatiskirche Warschau, and in Greifswalder Dom. His second solo album
Die Geburt der stillen Farben came out officially in 2020 by cinematic bass music.
Julia von Leliwa (Germany)
Julia von Leliwa, born in Hamburg, worked as fashion designer for Viktor&Rolf and the fashion house Balenciaga. Since 2009 , she works as costume designer for director Robert Wilsons in productions as: The Life and Death of Marina Abramovic (2011, Manchester International Festival), Pushkin Fairy Tales (2015, State Theater of Nations, Moscow), Luther dancing with the gods (2017, Rundfunkchor Berlin), Le Trouvère (2018, Verdi Festival Parma). Julia von Leliwa designed for director Tilman Hecker costumes for the experimental Performance Midnight (2016, Radialsystem V, Berlin) and for the opera I Capuleti e i Montecchi (2016, Badisches Staatstheater, Karlsruhe). In 2019, Julia von Leliwa collaborated with director and video artist Chris Kondek at the opera Zurich for the music theater Last Call. In 2011, she was holding a stipend at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. Since 2012, she taught fashion designat German and Iranian art universities.. In Iran, she also researched about trade and interculturality and received therefore the grant by the Goethe-Institut and the Institut for foreign relations (ifa).
Gianna Rose DiGirolamo (Germany / USA)
Gianna Rose DiGirolamo is a Berlin based professional dancer/performing artist originally from New York City. She holds a BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in New York. She has participated in projects with choreographers based in New York and throughout Europe, including VALLETO, The Progressive Wave, Chaos Emblematic, Jon Ole Olstad, Anton Lachky and GreyZone to name some; and has also been featured in music videos for artists including Halestorm, Leon the Singer, Bosley, and Kito. This is Gianna's second production as a dancer with animi motus.
Ricardo Campos Freire (Germany / Portugal)
Ricardo Campos Freire, dancer, teacher and choreographer was born in Lisbon, Portugal and educated at Superior Dance School in Lisbon and Stockholm University of the Arts. Having been a dancer at the Portuguese Company of Contemporary Dance, Croatian National Theatre, Bitef Dance Company, Ballet Hagen, and Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, he worked with choreographers such as Mauro Bigonzetti, Patrick Delcroix, James Sutherland, Cayetano Soto, Vasco Wellenkamp, Marco Goecke, Masa Kolar, and Ricardo Fernando. In 2015, he was awarded the best dancer of the year with the Smiljana Mandukic award in Belgrade, Serbia. He created works for the Portuguese Company of Contemporary Dance, DLWorks, Ballet Hagen, the company Korea Youth Ballet Stars in Seoul, Croatian National Theatre - Rijeka, and the Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade. The solo 'U meni' won the Audience Award and Special Mention at the XVIII Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade and his piece ‚Apart' was chosen to be part of the 31st international competition for choreographers in Hannover.
Felipe Fizkal (Germany / Chile)
Holding a Bachelor of Arts with a major in dance at the University of Chile 2014, Felipe Fizkal is, since 2011, the director of Felipe Fizkal Cia., where he independently develops various dance projects. He is also a teacher of contemporary dance and improvisation. Based in Berlin since 2019, where he continues his training as a professional dancer, he also works as a teacher for professionals in different centers of the city such as Tanz Fabrik, Marameo, Pop Up Studio, and Urban Raum. Felipe is the co-founder of the Latin American dance platform "TANZ DEN WIDERSTAND", where he has developed and continues developing different initiatives for dancers in their migrant process in Germany.
Po-Nien Wang (Germany / Taiwan)
Po-Nien Wang is a native Taiwan-Berlin based contemporary dancer. He graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011 and joined Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan until 2016. Po-Nien moved to Berlin as a freelance dancer since 2018. Recently he has performed at QueerPort Festival, Uferstudios Berlin, Julidans Festival(NL), 48 Stunden Neukölln.
Hannah Westbrook (USA)
Hannah Westbrook is a dancer and choreographer based in the Bay Area of California (USA). She received degrees in Theater, Dance, & Performance Studies from UC Berkeley with concentrations in dance and stage management. Hannah has performed internationally with Tim Rubel Human Shakes and animi motus, and has appeared across California in works by Anna Halprin, Stephan Koplowitz/AXIS Dance Company, Tara Pilbrow, and more. Hannah is the co-artistic director of The Phenomenal Anomalies, a dance-theater duo dedicated to creating quirky, vulnerable, and joyous dance, inside and outside traditional spaces.

Maxx Kurzunski (USA)
Maxx Kurzunski has designed for theater, dance, events, weddings, concerts and conferences. He is currently the lighting supervisor for Google’s event venues in California. He was the resident lighting designer at Custom Made Theater (SF) for six years, working on almost every show the company produced in that time. He is a founding member of FaultLine Theater leading the production of more than 25 world premiere plays and musicals. Maxx is the lighting director for Oakland Ballet Company. He last worked with Animi Motus on “Alien” as lighting and projections designer. Maxx has won multiple awards from the SF Bay Area Critics Circle for his lighting and video design.
